Made Without Hands - 6.25 x 7 (Cherry)

During the time of our Lord's early ministry, Abgar, a ruler in Edessa, Syria was afflicted with leprosy. Abgar had heard of our Lord and believing in Him sent a letter to Christ requesting that He come and heal him.  Abgar sent his court painter Ananias to Palestine to paint an image of Christ. Ananias was not able to go near Christ as the crowds were massive listening to Christ preach. Our Lord seeing Ananias called to him and promised him that He would send his disciple to Apgar and that he would be healed of leprosy when he arrived and would guide him to the path of salvation. Our Lord then called for a bowl of water and towel. He wiped his face with the towel and on the towel was the Divine Image. Our Lord sent the Image back with Ananias along with a letter to give to Apgar. Apgar after receiving the Image began to heal from leprosy. Christ's disciple  Thaddeus arrived as promised and baptized Apgar and all those living in Edessa.

Note on wood products - All wood warps, that is something you have to remember with these icons. Warping over time will occur but it wont affect the icon. We use Feed-N-Wax for all of our icons which is our wood sealant and we recommend touching up the icons with this product as needed. If you get water spots from having the icon blessed the easiest way to get rid of them is to apply the Feed-N-Wax product mentioned above to the areas with the water spots and they should go away.
